Welcome!
Thanks for visiting my web site. The primary purpose of this web site is to share my astrophotography experiences and results with others. I started astrophotography using a webcam and 8" Celestron SCT in 2001. Since then my equipment has migrated through several iterations. All of my imaging has been done from my home near the center of Dallas, Texas. My interest include both planetary imaging with a video camera and deep sky imaging using a cooled self guided camera. The Solar System and Deep Sky sections of this web site provides examples of my results of each type of imaging. Recently, I have used my equipment to collect light curves on several Exoplanets. The Exoplanets section shows examples of those activities. On a few occasions I have taken trips explicitly for the purpose of visiting locations related to astronomy and Astrophotography. The Trips section of this web site documents some of those trips. The Equipment section of this web site provides more detail about my equipment and imaging location. The light pollution conditions are terrible, but it is very convenient. Finally, the Links section provides a few links to other imagers, astronomy organizations and vendors that I have found useful.
This is my second Astrophotography web site. The first was created in 2001 using PageMill on a Windows system and is no longer maintained or hosted. Since that time, PageMill has been discontinued and I have migrated most of my computer activities to Apple. This web site is being created and updated using the "weebly editor" and is hosted by "weebly". See the link at the bottom of the page for more information on this product.
